  • brilliant place for few days chill out. hotel is in a decent geographic area with awsome city view from the room. staff always have smile on the their face and they have been really helpful. however, the hotel could be improved a bit more in terms of the hardware and maintaince. as one of the dimmer of the side light doesnt work and the house maintaince team needs to give the shower screen a bit of scrub. anyway it was a very impressive stay and im pleased to stay again when next time i visit chongqing.Deluxe Room

  • The location of the hotel is very good. It's good to go shopping and eat. There are famous mangzi hot pot, huashiwan noodles and Starbucks nearby. The hotel also has a children's playground, which is very good. The only disadvantage is that the air freshener sprayed by the hotel is too fragrant and makes people feel dizzy.Deluxe Room

  • After reading the review, I chose the luxury room. The hotel is located in a prosperous area, close to Jiefangbei. It takes 5 minutes to walk fast and 10 minutes to walk slowly. Around the bowl of noodles, chaoshou and other snacks, supermarkets. When I get off the taxi, there is a bellboy at the door to help me with the luggage and the number of the taxi. 80% of the attendants can see the guests saying hello, but when they check out, the waiter at the door didn't take the initiative to ask if we need a taxi service or we went to the roadside to call the car. In addition, I always feel that the bed in the hotel is softer than my own mattress, which is not suitable. Generally speaking, the next time I come to Chongqing, I will choose to stay again.Deluxe Room

  • I've stayed in many hotels. I feel like this one. It's like a business hotel. It's just to solve the problem of sleeping! There is no warm and comfortable feeling. It's inconvenient to travel. You need to call a car to meet people on the third floor. The waiting time is very long. In addition, you need to pay a tip! In a word, it's very general, and the cost performance is extremely poor!Deluxe Room

Travelogue

  • The Monument to the people's Liberation extends in all directions

When choosing a hotel for a business trip, the surrounding area and transportation always come first. This time I went to Chongqing to talk about the project. The customer was in the Monument to the people's Liberation area. I booked Glenview ITC Plaza Chongqing a week in advance. After staying for three nights, I thoroughly explored the surrounding area and concluded that there is really no problem with this location.
Let's talk about big transportation first. The hotel is at the core of Monument to the people's Liberation Business District in Yuzhong District, about 40 minutes from Jiangbei International Airport by taxi, and 35 minutes without traffic jam. The day I landed was at 3 pm. The inner ring expressway from the airport was smooth all the way, and I crossed the Yangtze River Bridge into the Yuzhong Peninsula. In the car window, the Jialing River and the Yangtze River met at my feet, like two silver ribbons twisted together. If you take the light rail, transfer from the airport line to Line 1 to Jiaochangkou Station, and walk for about ten minutes to the hotel, it is also convenient for people who do not want to take a taxi. The high-speed railway from Chongqing North Station is closer, it takes 20 minutes by taxi, and the light rail is also around 10 minutes.
Speaking of the surroundings. When you leave the hotel, turn left for five minutes to Monument to the people's Liberation Pedestrian Street, turn right for three minutes to Cathay Pacific Art Center, and then walk forward for ten minutes to Hongya Cave. In the evening of the first day, I didn't hurry upstairs after checking in. I walked around the Monument to the people's Liberation. The shopping malls, restaurants and coffee shops were so dense that the fireworks were too thick to open. There is an old hotpot restaurant diagonally across the street. The next day, we treated the customer to a meal and it took only two minutes to walk there. There was no need to take a taxi or navigate. The customer said, 'You chose a good place to stay.'.
The transportation details that business is most concerned about are also in place. The main road is right outside the hotel entrance, where taxis can be hailed and parked at any time, without having to wait for half a day in the alley. The next day, I was going to Nan'an District to discuss matters. I called a car from the front desk and it took me twenty minutes to cross the Yangtze River Bridge to my destination. The driver's inner ring was unobstructed. If you take the light rail, both Jiaochangkou Station and Xiaoshizi Station are within walking distance. Switching from Line 1 to Line 2 to Line 3 can almost reach any commercial district in Chongqing.
Of course, there is also something to be said. Chongqing has a complex terrain, and although the hotel is located in the core area, there is an uphill road at the entrance, which makes it a bit difficult to drag a suitcase. There is no subway station directly connecting to the hotel underground, and the nearest station is Jiaochangkou, which is a ten minute walk away. Traffic jams in Monument to the people's Liberation are serious during peak hours, so it is recommended to avoid morning and evening rush hours when taking a taxi. But these are almost common problems in the city of Chongqing, not the fault of hotels.
The parking lot is worth mentioning. If you drive here, the hotel has an underground garage, and the parking space is not tight. My colleague drove to pick me up and waited in the garage for five minutes before coming out. This is very practical for business scenarios that require picking up and dropping off customers.
The biggest feeling after staying for three nights is' no fuss'. It's close anywhere, it's not far by taxi, the light rail is convenient, and it's just a walk to treat guests and have meals. For people who often travel to Chongqing to discuss matters, this "core" location is more practical than any landscape room or internet celebrity check-in point.
Next time you come to Chongqing, as long as the customer is near Monument to the people's Liberation, you can also book Glenview ITC Plaza Chongqing. For no other reason, just the sense of security that takes five minutes to turn left and walk to the pedestrian street, and three minutes to turn right and walk to Hongyadong.Show more

  • A dream of a mountain city in the foggy night

I didn't have high expectations for hotels when I went on a business trip to Chongqing - this city itself is the biggest attraction, so staying anywhere is just a matter of making do with one night? As a result, I booked Glenview ITC Plaza Chongqing, and the moment I opened the door on the night I landed, I realized what "choosing the right one" meant.
The hotel is located in Monument to the people's Liberation Business District, Yuzhong District, five minutes' walk from Cathay Pacific Art Center. The car came from the Yangtze River Bridge, and the lights on both sides of the river shone on the surface, as if someone had knocked over a plate of gold. The hotel is standing in this bustling area, and its appearance is not obvious, but at the moment when the lobby opens the door, a space of nearly eight meters high, a whole french window, and a warm marble floor are swept up. The receptionist smiled and handed over the room card, casually saying, "The room looks towards the river, and the night view is beautiful." I didn't take it seriously, so I went upstairs and pushed the window - the Jialing River was right under my feet, and the lights of the Qiansimen Bridge connected into a golden line. On the other side, the Hongya Cave looked like a glowing stilted house. I stood in front of the window and stared for half a minute.
The room is about 35 square meters, not too big but with a comfortable layout. The bed is facing the window, and you can enjoy the river view while lying down. The blanket is thick and soft, and the pillow is only slightly high. The neck is not in a bad mood. The curtains are electric and can be opened and closed with just one click. They are slowly awakened by the sunlight in the morning instead of being blown up by an alarm clock, which is a luxury for business travelers. The bedside lamp is adjustable in three levels, with a warm color temperature, making it easy to read before bedtime without glaring. The desk was equipped with a socket and Ethernet cable by the window. I plugged it into the internet and opened Tencent Meeting. The screen was very stable, and the customer said on the other end of the screen, "Is there a Chongqing night scene behind you?" I said yes, but he said, "That's too much.
The bathroom made me stay a little longer. The bathtub is by the window, filled with water for about fifteen minutes, soaking in the bath and watching the lights on the other side dim. The hot water comes quickly and the water pressure is high enough, hitting the shoulder vigorously. The spare parts taste light and not greasy, and the shampoo is more than four stars, not that kind of cheap essence. The shower room is dry and wet separated, and the floor tiles have good anti slip properties. Wet feet do not slip when stepped on.
Breakfast is on the second floor, with a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. I brought a bowl of Chongqing noodles - spicy but not burning the stomach, with a delicious soup base and chewy noodles. There are steamed steamed buns, soybean milk and some dishes beside. I sit by the window and eat slowly, watching the misty mountain city wake up slowly in the morning light. A few local elders were chatting nearby. In Chongqing dialect, I couldn't understand everything, but the lively atmosphere made me feel like I wasn't on a business trip, but had been living in this city for several days.
On the day I checked out, I sat in the lobby for an extra ten minutes, watching the sun come in through the french window, and there was a faint smell of coffee in the air. The receptionist smiled and asked, 'Are you still used to living here?' I replied, 'It's better than habit.'.
Walking out of the gate and looking back, the hotel stood quietly beside the Monument to the people's Liberation, fighting and grabbing, but the best night view of the mountain city was collected into every window. Next time I come to Chongqing, whether it's for business trips or indulging in hot pot, I will probably stay here again.Show more
